                Training Burn

               January 17th, 2009

Tigerville Fire Department was given the opportunity to hold a training burn in January of this year. Members of the department were presented with a number of different rescue scenarios, allowing them to employ search-and-rescue tactics learned during previous training. The final scenario was a fully involved structure fire. This scenario provided  volunteers and Explorers with first-hand experience controlling a nozzle and how to perform salvage & overhaul. This training was a success, with everyone in attendance coming away with new knowledge.
