    The first Tour de Tigerville has come and gone, and we here at the department feel that it was a great success! We had over forty riders in attendance from places as far away as Tennessee and were able to raise almost a thousand dollars to support the fire department. Those in attendance seemed to thoroughly enjoy the route, and we even had a few attempt the metric course. Lunch was catered by Ann Trammel, and the general consensus was that her meal was excellent! We were able to give out numerous prizes, thanks in part to the Great Escape Bicycle Shop. Gift certificates to Carolina Triathalon and Road ID were given out along with gym memberships to Peak Fitness and both wedges and water bottles from the Great Escape. A special thanks goes to Greenville Spinners president Jay Mappus for his valuable input as we planned this ride. We hope that even more will come out for our next ride!}
