First started in the 1970s, Tigerville Fire Department services an area of approximately 25 sq. miles  in the northern part of Greenville County. Tigerville boasts a station with nine bays, three offices, day room, recreation room, full kitchen, training room, weight room and commissioner's room. Tigerville's station is also a post for Greenville County EMS. As such, an ambulance is housed here at all times with two EMS personnel.
