Calling in a burn permit to both Tigerville Fire Department and the S.C. Forestry Department are key steps to remember before you burn. Alerting the proper officials ensures that we have an accurate description of what you are burning and where it is located, and may also save you from costly fines should your burn get out of control. We ask that you follow all guidelines set forth by Greenville County in an effort to ensure your outside burns are safe.
                            Key Things To Remember:

    • All burns must be located at least 50 feet from any structure
    • The burning must be constantly attended by a competent person until the fire is extinguished. These persons must have a garden hose or other fire extinguishing equipment
    • Burning of any kind is only permitted between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
